I got a new PC, and set it up with windows 8 (i am an MSDN Customer, so i got the license early)

My question is, do you guys already test against win 8? I have a few weird symptoms:

1.: The wiimote pairs only every 10th try or so. All my other devices (Android phone, Ipad, Mouse Keyboard) connect without hiccups.
Things i tried: reconnecting reconnecting reconnecting Smile

2.: Wiimote Sound Playback is slowed to about halve.
Things i tried: The different DSP modules and settings.

3.: All games i tested up until now roll very smooth, but every 30 seconds or so i get a few seconds of visible choppiness. The FPS counter shows 60 FPS throughout.
This is not situational, i.e. i can pass the same location in a game once with this effect and the next time without.
Things i tried:
- setting Vsynch in emulator and/or in graphics driver.
- different internal resolutions: Auto windows, Auto multiple, 2x, 2,5x
- SSAA off, 4x
- Anisotropic filtering 1x - 4x
- Texture cache all three settings
- DX9 and DX11 backend
- Force PAL 60 on/off
- Setting Framelimits

Anyone got a hunch what's going on? I am out of ideas somehow Smile

Congratulations on the Userfriendliness of your Emulator, btw. I really enjoy handling Dolphin after scratching my head with PCSX2 ;-)

On a more serious note it sounds like an issue with your bluetooth stack.
Completely unrelated . I use windows 8 on both machine (desktop & laptop) . I don't have a single problem
Yeah it was meant as a joke......I failed apparently.
Everyone that came by the thread was thinking that, NV. Still funny.
I know it's a joke but i must post to clear up any misunderstanding as possible
1 -> Try Toshiba Stack . IMO , it's much better than Microsoft BT Stack
2 -> Either : crappy BT hardware or driver issue ...I don't know , you must use LLE backend
3 -> Try Setting for best speed . If you have 1080p monitor then use either :
_Direct3D9 backend , 4xIR , no AA , 16x AF
_Direct3D11 backend , 4xIR , 4x MSAA ,16x AF
No GPU on earth can max out 4xIR + 4x SSAA (Direct3D9) without slowdown , not even the GTX 690
Some game will have a nice speedup if you enable "Vbeam" (right-click the game - properties - check/tick Vbeam)

Thanks for the tips! 2 out of 3 solved, that is a good start Big Grin

1.: Fixed with Toshiba Stack
2.: Fixed with Toshiba Stack

3.: Persistent.
Things i tried:
Using an emulated Wiimote
Direct3D9 backend ,1xIR, 4xIR | no AA | 1x AF, 16x AF
Direct3D11 backend , 1xIR, 4xIR | None, 4x MSAA Level 1 - 5 | 1x AF, 16x AF
VBeam on/off.

The Status line reads FPS: 60 - VPS: 60 - SPEED: 100% during those moments.
(It does dip to FPS: 55 - VPS: 59 - SPEED: 99% during scene changes sometimes, though. But that is not where the choppiness appears)

Games i tried:
Bit.Trip Complete
Castlevania rebirth
DK Country returns
Excitebots
New Super Mario Bros
Sin and Punishment Star Successor
Star Soldier R
Super Mario Galaxy

The scrolling Backscreen of the New super mario bros Title sometimes shows this right at the beginning, sometimes it happens in the middle and sometimes at the end.

P.S.: For fun, i tried 4xIR, 4x SSAA, 16x AF (Holy crap stuff looks beautiful). It didn't get worse. It is the same amount of choppiness when i use the lowest or highest settings.
Try fps limiting and/or audio throttle. It also might be related to the shader cache, have you tried the openGL backend?
that right buddy windies 8 sucks my i5 and 7850 fast 7 windows 4 x antive good graphiocs so crrecty buddy
