Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Did anyone ever realize that Dolphin is the only emulator that can run almost any game without bugs or with few? PCSX2, NO$GBA, DeSmuME, Project 64, Xeon, and others just don't emulate their system as well as Dolphin. Kudos!

you can't say that. every emu has issues. how can you compare it just like that?

pj64 emulates all/most of the top games almost flawlessly. i'm not sure if dolphin can match that. i also think the game catalogue plays a part. I mean, who wants to use an emu with 100% rubbish games list?

Every emu has issues, except for bsnes. :3

No I didn't realize that. Because it's not true.

I have to agree with daaceking on this one. PCSX2, pj64, etc. all have better compatibility with their software base.

I don't think PCSX2 nor PJ64 have better compatibility, but I think DeSmuME does. PCSX2 and PJ64 might play the most popular games with no apparent issues but that is far from their total software base.

But that's the main issue with dolphin. A lot of the unpopular games have major or minor issues. And honestly I think dolphin is still inferior to at least pcsx2 in that regard (I will admit I haven't played enough unpopular games on pj64 to make that call for that emulator).

And can you believe that byuu still finds things to make even more accurate? :p

Come to think of it, I've only heard of a few games having game-breaking bugs in Desmume. The Pokemon games are (were?) the only major titles people regularly complained about, from what I saw browsing their forums. Also, doesn't PCSX2 keep a relatively up-to-date compatibility list on their main site?
