And by the way , they were released at QuakeCon 2 days ago by AMD^^So they are legit 9.8Catalyst

I already tried 9.8 and the problem persists.
THELUKESTIR, that was one of the reasons that I wanted to figure out if there was a workaround to it.....wasn't complaining bout anything, I was mearly searching for some far fetched solution
cheers

downgrade to 9.3, yeah sound easy. but its not.
i have 9.3 here and its impossible to install :
- directly over 9.4 -> impossible
- uninstall 9.4 -> then instell 9.3 im possible
- install through system manager -> impossible
i changed to 9.8 now and together with 4gb ram it seems to be enough.
most games crash anyway till memory would be full

I realized that the problem occurs on Windows XP with less frequency.

Nah, it's the same on all OS, be it XP (x86 version), Vista, or Windows 7 (x64 for those)
Still the same in Catalyst 9.8

Hi, first time poster !
I wanted to point out an advice given in this thread describing the problem : http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=852&can=1&q=leak
I tried that and it seems to be working very well. I have now catalyst 9.8 installed on my windows 7, with atio6axx.dll from catalyst 9.3 in my Dolphin directory and there's no more memory leak.

Quote:to use old open gl version simply copy atio6axx.dll from 9.3 into your dolphin folder and your problems will be gone.
