Hi there ppl, a quick question. I'm between 2 processors to buy

1. i3 2120 3.3ghz
2. i5 2500 (not 2500k) 3.3ghz

I know, that i5 is better, but i have to question if with i3 is enough to play some games, but the first game i want to play is pokemon battle revolution... i have a Radeon 6870 1gb ddr5 and 3gb ram too, thank you all.
i3 should be good if you don't want LLE on thread

Sorry, but can you explain me what's LLE on thread? xd sorry for ignorance, cheers.

Dolphin will use 3 cores if you have that option enabled
i5 3450 + Asrock Z77 mobo = overclockable (3.9GHz)
However some games need LLE backend (dump it from the wii) , i5 3570k @ 4.2Ghz or i5 2500k @ 4.4GHz are required to run demanding games with LLE backend
I recommend you the Core i5-3570k. It's a really good CPU. It can be high overclocked (good CPU cooler needed) and has 4 cores. Perfect for Dolphin Smile
The two should have an almost equal performance, the only difference being the number of cores (2 vs 4)
Not really. Quadcores are faster as they have 4 cores :3
Buying a dual core cpu if you can afford a quad core would certanly be a mistake.
Quad is better not only in dolphin, but in pc games also

You really should go for the "k" version

This is a very demanding game. Here you could feel the power (and utility) of a "k" processor

I second this
Yeah, I said the i3 because I felt like the OP REALLY didn't want to have to buy the i5 XD
