Agree with mplayer2 ->VLC. For foobar2k under wine - there's a lot of music players for linux and OS X, so you only need to run audio player in wine if you, for example, want to use win32-only plugin.
This is not directed at anyone in particular.
If you're not using Windows as your primary OS but are booting Windows on your machine for any reason, your OS is obviously not better for you despite what you claim. That basically puts everyone in the "Windows is best for me" category. If your OS is truly best for you, why are you spending time in Windows? I don't spend any time in your OS. When I say that the OS I use is best for me, I mean it.

I have windows in BootCamp, yes, but I stay away from it as much as possible. I only go into it when using Dolphin, and now that I have a desktop for dolphin there really is no point in me booting into Windows anymore.
The point is that you need Windows, Windows users don't need another OS. If it's not for Dolphin it'll be for overall gaming or other reasons. That makes Windows superior. It doesn't matter that you no longer have to "boot into" Windows anymore. You don't have to boot into Windows anymore because you setup a dedicated Windows machine.

...no. There are so many things that I can't do with Windows that I can do with OS X. iOS development for example. OS X has exclusive apps just like Windows does, only OS X's exclusive apps are far more important to me than Windows.
I don't really even need Windows gaming tbh; I'm still contemplating ditching Windows for Linux on my desktop. The only thing holding me back from getting Windows is the price, and the only thing holding me back from Linux is the lack of support for some graphics fixes in Dolphin. I will probably ditch Windows anyway though.
Windows users wouldn't need to develop for iOS. If they did, they'd be Mac users. I'll let you off the hook though, I don't want to beat you down anymore.

I don't even know what you are saying. This seems very illogical.
You made the statement that
anyone who boots into Windows might as well only use Windows because anything you can do in OS X or Linux can be done in Windows. I handily disproved your statement with an example that is personal to me, and then you proceed to make an illogical statement like "Windows users wouldn't need to develop for iOS. If they did, they'd b Mac users." I was a Windows user, and I needed to develop for iOS. But since I couldn't on Windows, I gr a Mac. Therefore, for me Mac was better. Then I wanted to play Dolphin. Then Windows brought itself up to somewhat equal level, but iOS development is more important to me so if I had to choose I would choose OS X. Thus for me, OS X is better.
You can't make a broad statement about which OS is better for a range of users because each user may belong to multiple groups. This your original point is moot.

Cost benefit analysis. Capitalism ftw.
iOS has a bigger number of users who have purchased an app than Android. There are more Android users, true, but most don't buy apps. Most iOS users buy apps.
Common sense trumps fanboyism.

Closed platforms really need to die, you're not helping.
