Quote:I still don't agree with the morality of those backgrounds though... Lust isn't good for you DefX. It just takes your eyes off of what really matters.

Please tell me you're not being serious.

I am on this one. I could go through the whole story of a mentor of mine who ruined his perception of women by doing things like this, but I'll just leave the thread to its intended purpose.

@DefX I love the way full screen works on OS X! Swiping between desktop spaces and apps is really fast and easy.
My default desktop background now seems inadequate Sad

Also, ED2 has Lego Digital Designer. I wouldn't have put him in the demographic which would use LDD.
Quote:Why do Windows users splatter their desktop with folders, icons, and files?
....
but out of all the "post your desktop" threads I've seen, it only happens on Windows
It depends on the user of course.
The vast majority of users use Windows.
Among those users, the vast majority of them don't care how their desktop looks, or don't want to clean it up.
There's very little Linux users in comparison, so you'll definitely see less cluttered desktops.
And you can imagine that most of the Linux users prefer to have a clean and minimalistic look nowadays.

Axxer: Lets not judge people based on what kind of picture they use on their desktop, lets just stay on topic without getting too personal.

As far as Windows users having a big mess of shortcuts on their desktop, it's not for me. I'm content with just having the recycle bin as the only thing on my desktop and everything else organized and clean.

Thanks, I didn't really want to continue on with that conversation.

Yeah I don't have much on my desktop on my Mac or Windows computers. On my Mac I have a bunch of scripts I wrote to launch VMs and a couple of files, and on windows I just have my emulator folders.
@Garteal - I've been around to a couple of Linux forums (LinuxQuestions.org and LinuxForums.org mostly, the two big ones). You get a lot a variety as you can imagine; I've seen tons of Linux desktops. Comparing those to Windows users in the forums I've been to over the years, only Windows users seems to put the clutter there. It's not every Windows user, however, they're the only ones I see doing it. Guess it's just one of the more visible and interesting differences in OS usage.
We don't care and we get used to it. My desktops are always a mess and I hardly ever use it. Sometimes when I need to save something I'll just click on the desktop directory because it's fast and easy to remember where it is.

I like the p***y. Tongue

Please don't question the desktop icons, I like them on my desktop for easier access. Will be downloading Fences to tidy them up a bit.

Edit: Cleaned up some of the icons on my desktop. I realized there were duplicate icons, not sure how they got there.

Edit 2: Found another duplicate icon lol.
Oh lawd, thats as messy as they come
