I was referring more to the games, if you examine the file systems of Wii games such as Twilight Princess and Smash Bros Brawl you will see two completely different audio engines at work, Brawl uses streamed files in the form of BRSTMs and Twilight Princess uses something similar to MIDI with sound banks and such. Just saying that the two different audio engines would perform differently when emulated, at least in theory.
It would indeed. This thread suddenly became more interesting.

+1. Didn't think of that, that's actually a very good reason.

Is there any GC game using streamed music (or Wii games using sequenced music) to test that theory?
I know that Twilight Princess on the Wii uses the same music that the GC version does (it's the same format as wind waker). I have no idea which one it is, but I would assumed sequenced since I'm pretty sure wind waker is. I ripped all of the music out of both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess so I could listen to everything using a plugin for Winamp. It doesn't appear to be a streamed audio file like the orchestral music that is used in Skyward Sword.
Pokemon XD for the Gamecube uses streamed audio, Twilight princess for the Wii uses sequenced audio. I'm sure there are other games that could be used but I can't name any except Sonic Adventure 1(DX) and 2(Battle) for the Gamecube which use streamed ADX files.
I'm 99% sure that Baten Kaitos on the GC also uses streamed music. Now that I think about it, LLE did not decrease performance a lot on this game when I tried using it.
I have SA2:B dumped. I'll post benchmarks for it when I get home much later tonight. Btw, doesn't ToS use sequenced music? Just curious.
ToS uses sequenced music.
So why don't we group together all of the games we said we specifically wanted this benchmark to be done on. I'm in; ill test whatever I have.
We are in luck: I have pretty much every rpg game for gc and wii,so I can test pokemom and baten kaitos.
Will post results a little bit later today.

If you have TP for wii,you should certanly test that one,to confirm its indeed slower in LLE.
You can also test whatever game you want. For example, test SMG2 so we can see if you get same results as me,or Zelda Skyward Sword,I didnt test that because I don't have wii motion +
Lets see if Zelda SS is also only a few fps slower in LLE ?
