thx bro
No, lol, I mean continuously protesting and petitioning for it after it has already been asked would be assinine. You asked once, they said no, so you did (most of) it yourself. That is the mark of an intelligent human being.
They didnt say no, they said it can be done, but most of them are busy to do it atm. There are more priorities, like, 4.0 blockers.

Understandable. I just want to get it done as soon as I can

you say that you could make a patch, and you just have to know where to write code?
I think I could figure it out. I already found where the game ini is read (BootManager.cpp reads it in) so if I could just figure out where the settings are applied and how Dolphin sets the back end (polymorphism, pointing to classes in a certain way, etc) so I could set a flag based on an input from the ini. I would just input some if statements to interpret the flag and choose the appropriate back end.
Hey, you might wanna take a look at the file Source/Core/Common/Src/VideoBackendBase.cpp (I have no idea why it's placed in Common...).
FYI, from my experience getting familiar with source trees is a LOT easier if you use UNIX tools like
grep or better yet
ack. Visual Studio also has a code search, but it's too slow for my taste and (at least for me) usually finds either way too many results or not the right ones. OTOH, maybe I just didn't bother tweaking the parameters enough

Thanks, ill check it out and also check out those tools.
we were talking on irc. he did it!!!!
Thanks sonic!!! <3
Hooraay! Yaay! Now I won't have to go change settings anymore when I want to change games!
