There's no way that can be right - you're getting performance that's only around 25% faster than my Athlon 64 x2!

Yeah. We keep telling him that something is wrong with his system.
I'm going to PM him regading the issue. As you know, I'm particularly curious in the performance of Piledriver, and even though the APUs lack L3 cache it'll still be decently useful info.
There is clearly something very wrong with his system. His performance is not consistent at all with other systems. He got 10 vps in a scene where my Q6600 @ 3.2GHz got 35 vps. It's pretty obvious that a core 2 quad running at 3.2GHz should not be 3.5 times as fast as a 4 GHz quad core piledriver cpu.
His results are useless until he fixes whatever it is that's doing this. There is absolutely no way in hell his cpu should be anywhere near that slow.
And I highly doubt it's due to overheating because it's only a 65w APU. You'd have to have a VERY bad heatsink connection and a maybe even a broken fan to mess that up.
He already checked the temps. It's not overheating. His cpu isn't throttling either. The threads are also running on the correct cores. Background tasks don't seem to be sucking up cpu usage either. So I'm pretty low on ideas.
