Anyone have a backup of the settings to use for the benchmark? I know it's all outdated now, but I'm still interested in my results.

CPU: Intel Core i7 3960x (Sandy Bridge-E) @ 4.250
Mobo: Rampage IV Extreme
RAM: 64 GB Corsair

Results:

FPS/VPS/Speed
1: 82/164/273%
2: 68/136/226%
3: 107/215/358%
Just download the pre-configured Dolphin on the first post and don't change anything

Oooh, totally read all that wrong. http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-settings-for-best-speed-unofficial is just for mac/linux. Thanks admin89
That thread you just linked to is dead and has no settings to look at anymore.
That thread wasn't specific for Mac or Linux users, btw, although the D3D9 bit doesn't apply for those OSes. Mac and Linux users for this benchmark have to manually edit the .ini file like Garteal explained and should be using the same settings as those in the Windows build (which are largely set to their default values).
Got some parts in the mail this week, and finally had a chance to get some preliminary results with my fanless Haswell Dolphin PC Big Grin Specs:
  • CPU: i5-4670K (3.4GHz, stock speed)
  • Mobo: ASRock Z87E-ITX
  • GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4600
  • RAM: 8GB G.SKILL Ares 1600
  • SSD: 120GB Samsung 840
  • PSU: PicoPSU 160XT + 192W power adapter
Ran each setting for approx. 30min to see my CPU temperature maximum, which is approx. 85C (which is pretty good, well within the safe-range, and I'm not even undervolting yet). Max power draw (measured via a Kill-A-Watt) was about 78W under full load. Benchmark results:
  • 84 / 162 / 276%
  • 67 / 135 / 225%
  • 104 / 208 / 346%
Pretty amazing Big Grin (performs about as well as my i5-3570K @ 4GHz). I plan on making a thread about the build once I fine tune it a bit more.

Ouch. I hope you can get that down, that would annoy me a lot more than a fan would.
He could put a fan next to it to blow air over the chassis. The rig itself would still technically be fanless Tongue.

Is Turbo Boost disabled ?

Nope, so it turbos up to 3.7GHz.

Why? This isn't a laptop, it's not like you feel it. It doesn't even throttle at 85C... Haswell Tj. Max is 100C :p
