yay, a faildozer bench! woo~

On a more serious note, aren't those framerates a bit fast compared to that stock FX-8350 earlier? I mean, I understand that part of Vishera's speed comes from higher clocks due to better power efficiency, but I'd think the IPC improvements would make up the difference between an overclocked 8150...
So FX-8150 @ 4.6GHz performs quite close to i5 2400 @ 3.4GHz . Don't tell me FX-8150 ~ FX-8350 (no improvement at all in Dolphin)
@snydez2010

You reallly should redo the benchmark with widescreen hack off. The extra geometry being rendering might reduce performance even with a cpu bottleneck.

For the record bulldozer's IPC is only 2-6% higher than vishera depending on the task. On average around a 4% increase. Most of the extra performance comes from the increased clock rate like nintendo maniac said.

Nearly identical.
Thanks for the contribution snydez. I'll add your results to the graph soon.
Much appreciated. I just wanted to be sure.
Although I'm sure there's a bunch of Sandy Bridge setups in here already, I'd like to posts here if it's not dead so I can feel important. I'm on Windows 8 Pro x64, other specs are in my signature. Also, my game region is PAL so I had to use Shonumi's save from Page 2.

Thanks for participating.

Oh wait, Ness, I see the merchant boat in your third shot. (Not sure about the first since Link might be obscuring him).
Could you retake those when the merchant boat left the camera view?

I'll be updating the graph when you've done that.

So someone did find it useful after all Big Grin

On that note, I'll be contributing soon as well. Been putting it off for too long.
