$900 and how does your Acer run dolphin?
_900$ is more than enough for multimedia laptop but multimedia laptop is not built for gaming . Unlike PC game , dolphin tax CPU alot ...If your laptop overheats , dolphin will run slow like slow motion movie
This ultra-portable gaming laptop was tested with Prime95 - 70 degree celsius (full load) which is good enough for dolphin

Most games run fullspeed (NSMB,SMBM, Mario DD , Muramasa TDB ...)
Demanding games : Xenoblade & Pandora's Tower run well , The Last Story run half-speed (15 FPS) at Ruli-city , SMG - don't know , i haven't tested it with Vbeam trick yet

Thanks, but what about super Mario galaxy? I heard it was very demanding, but on YouTube someone with stats worse than the HP played it at almost full speed without overclocking. Did they do something I don't know, or woul I be able to play it fast too?
Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 need (in most cases) a Core i5-2500k @ 4.2Ghz or a Core i5-3570k @ 4.2GHz to run @ fullspeed with LLE enabled. No notebook can handle SMG+LLE @ full speed Wink Don't trust the youtube videos...
Most of those videos were probably done with HLE audio (though it's hard to say for sure, you never specified which videos you looked at). It's usually possible to play SMG at decent speeds with laptops on HLE audio, but there are a handful of issues to watch out for (crashing when getting a Grand Star, imperfect audio).

It doesn't mean anything. Some parts may have been fully playable. Some other parts may have not. HLE may have been used. Etc.

I guess you can't expect a great performance in SMG 1/2. Playable though

That's right . The last time i tried with HLE backend , i got 40 FPS (Old Dolphin version , 2.5IR -no AA - 16x AF)
At certain places in the game , you can get fullspeed with a weaker CPU & GPU : i5 450M + Nvidia 330M

But that doesn't mean fullspeed in a whole game
LLE backend is even more demanding...like DefenderX said
Btw , my laptop was modded (cooling) . It's much better than the original Acer

True but not true . I show FPS counter in most of my video though games might run faster or slower on old dolphin version . And old version are not recommended here ...

This one can do that Tongue
but it's ultra-heavy and cost alot (i7 3920XM @ 4.5GHz + Nvidia GTX 680M /AMD 7970M)
