I've looked at many threads and solutions to get my mic working on dolphin but none of them work for me. People say to just make your mic the default device then go into the Gamecube settings and select it in the drop down box. That doesn't work for me, there is still no mic in the drop down box.

Help!?
This feature was not added to the official 3.0 stable release. You'll have to use something newer, like the latest 3.0-766. Download it here, and try to see if it works then.
Just to clarify, you are trying to get it to work with Gamecube games or Wii?

It works fine for me in GC.

Alright, thanks for the help mate Wink
I will download that and try it out now.
Hello and sorry for barging into the thread.
I have a question about (supposed?) microphone support.
When I go to options->Settings->Gamecube I could select Microphone in both slot A and B.
Also, in another thread I noticed someone who said his USB microphone was working.
So, I just bought 2 USB Wii microphones today, assuming that this would work for me also.
However, when I click on options->Gamecube controller settings, Path 1 thru 4 only has DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse.
Something tells me I miss something like a driver or whatnot, to make the usb microphone list as a device to accompany the Slot A and B microphone?
Perhaps it's not yet implemented but listed as a future option?
Perhaps it's something really simple which I have overlooked.
PS: I tried to use the microphones in Beatles Rock Band, with the know microphone error (Logitech USB microphone not found).

Currently, I use Dolphin 3.0-774-dirty.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Mic doesn't work with Wii games. Only with GC games

Thanks for your reply.
I was not aware of this feature for gamecube emulation.
Though I'm puzzled as to how this would work.
Is it just with a regular microphone, or a usb microphone?
Does it emulate a microphone for that matter?

Classical PC microphones and integrated ones work. Not sure for USB ones since Wii mic isn't supported yet

I just looked up what the Gamecube microphone is about.
From my undewrstanding, as it is an accesory for a memory slot.
So, that might have made it easier to support it (since memory saving is supported?).
Since the Wiimote uses Bluetooth instead of USB, that's where the hurdle is in programming support for USB peripherals?
I think I'm beginning to understand this.

A side-branch of Dolphin is working on Wii mic. Still a work-in-progress AFAIK
