Whenever I play dave mirra 2 on dolphin, after about 5 minutes of playing the game freezes and does sort of a "stutter." For about 20 seconds dolphin still works, like i can pause the emulation, edit setting, but then after that dolphin itself starts to freeze.

Did you have this issue with other games too? If yes, I guess, your CPU is overheating. Check your temps with CoreTemp.
If you only have problems with that game, you should try one of my following hints:
* Try the official Dolphin 3.0 release
* Try the latest git version of Dolphin
* check your settings // pls post your Dolphin settings.

only happens with dave mirra, and ill post my settings
here they are. tell me if you need any of the audio ones or interface etc.
The settings are okay. What about redumping your game? Maybe your ISO is broken.
Use OpenGL. The game tends to freeze with DX9 (not sure with DX11)

tried open gl, and it still froze :/. I will try redumping it and post results.

AGHH i redumped a different version and it still freezes. lasted a little longer this time and i was getting STOKED then it started to freeze again :/
