Should, I dunno about the dual layer thing, but I don't think the games you want need that anyway.

Wow really good thing I didnt order it yet. You wouldn't happen to have a link to one that does cause i'm pretty sure both are dual layer. I know for a fact the last story is.

That is the only way to do it.
I think you should tell your brother to look at it this way: if he lets you hack the Wii just for a bit, and then restore it, he won't have to deal with you bothering him to use it anymore.
Btw, the last story (and xenoblade to a lesser extent) are very demanding games. I don't think you'll be able to run either full speed with the CPU you listed.

I have a i5-2400 in my computer I put the cpu of are other computer by mistake. So I could just put homebrew on his use cleanrip and then take the homebrew off when done?
