You can switch at this place to LLE and then return to HLE? (only sugest,havent played SMG2)
Music stops pretty soon ( couple of minutes )
Maybe you didnt notice because other sounds will continue and music will also continue once another music track is started ( you change level )

Only if you use in-game saves and not savestates
For your initial question:
SMG2 + HLE + 3450 at stock speed = good speed
SMG2 + LLE + 3450 at stock speed = playable
SMG2 + LLE + 3450 overclocked = nearly full speed
But... the 3450 has no open multiplier. And overclocking through the BCLK can only help to gain some MHz more.
Only Asrock Z77 mobo has "No-K OC" function , you can overclock i5 3450 to 3.9GHz

That's right. He should be able to reach around 4.0GHz though
Depends on the quality of the MoBo. But if u overclock through the BCLK, you'll overclock other components too, e.g. the PCI(e) Slots and USB controller.
Nope,I think they are talking about overclocking turbo mode multipliers.
Basically,in a nutshell,even locked cpu's can be overclocked by 400 mhz on better mobos without touching BCLK.

He didnt say he need fullspeed 100% of the time,when people say "can I run xxx" it usually means "playable speed"
I just want it to never drop below 90% speed :3, then its just annoyingly slow...
