Most people aren't that concerned about power usage when they get a monstrous graphics card like that though.
They could have bought a GTX580 for similar (ish) power and price, which uses more electricity.
I suppose that is true, I just know that I am never concerned about power in my computers and electronics because, well, I have a lot of them and there isn't a ton I can do about my overall power consumption usage without walking through my entire house trying to unplug every stinking power strip, which would take forever every night.
Quote:then the only option i see is downloading rivatuner and force it to be on 3d performance. the only downside is that the idle temps will be a bit higher but if you can play dolhin then it shouldnt be a problem because you are gaming after all.

Are you sure that rivatuner works with the latest drivers/cards? I'm pretty sure it doesn't.

cant confirm with the 500 and 600 series, i just asumed they had their program up to snuff Tongue

isnt there a replacement program that does the same? i doubt rivatuner is the only one that can force the 3d perfomance profile.
There are other programs that can do that but it won't help since all they do is modify the driver settings. If it doesn't work through nvcp it won't work through nvidia inspector.
