There's a thread here somewhere which has clear instructions of how to do everything right up until you are in game, so search for that. It was started by Admin89 if that helps your search.

are you using wii motion plus controller or regular?
I am using wii with built in motion plus, and it shows up as TR model.

Okay, ill try doing some research
TR remotes aren't so well behaved.
Yeah, you can say that again. There's plenty of issues on forum. Wonder why it hasnt been fixed yet, since its the last model of the controller, it will be used more and more as time goes on passed the life time of the console itself.
The issue sin't with Dolphin, but the remote. It's kind of designed to be as awkward as possible to connect to a computer without being unable to connect to the Wii. Either Nintendo found a more efficient way of connecting it to the Wii, so went for that, or it was to make it harder for emulators and programs such as GlovePie to work, which is odd, as they make a profit on people buying a Wiimote but no Wii.

Yeah, I see now that the problem will be there for a while. Looks like I will have to return my RT controller and wait for the best. Hope they will still be selling wiimotes, since Wii is now outdated.
There's no chance that you'll be able to buy a non-TR Wiimote, except second hand, and if you want a motion plus one, then there's no way to tell if it's TR or not until you try to use it. Just find Adim89's guide, and follow those instructions.
The first part of this thread should help you: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=23564&highlight=connect+Wiimote
I found some manuals on it on google code page, wasnt by Adim89 tho. The thing is, I was trying to connect it to my windows machine just to make sure that it works, before trying to connect it to linux. Since its not fully supported yet in windows, like I cant push a button and boom there it is, there are no chances that auto pair up, or any for that matter, works on linux.

I'll try to make it work for a couple of days, there are some projects for linux that are supposed to work for linux, and then I'll just hold it until version 4.0 hopefully resolves the problem.
The problem isn't anything we can fix. It's poor communication between the bluetooth stack and the Wiimote. For now, follow the thread which I linked, as under windows it works.

Also, dolphin runs somewhat more slowly under linux, so sticking to Windows is most sensible.
Yeah, I know that. Dolphin team did a great job, so surely something like that can be fixed.

It doesnt run too slow, its about 80% of the DirectX speed. But it does save me from Microsoft shenanigens. Also I didnt OC my computer yet, so that might be the reason.
