1. which dolphin version should i use? latest version only has 32bit, or should i use previous 64bit version? or any other?

2. which settings should i change?

3. i also want to play with gamepad, does it work directly or is there settings to adjust to make it work?

4. is there a way to fix the background music?

Hello, go with the 3.0 release version of Dolphin. I personally use the OpenGL plugin instead of DirectX, because the latter made the game randomly crash every now and then, OpenGL works perfect and at complete full speed, never had a single slowdown. As for the settings, set Texture Cache to Fast, Check Disable Fog and enable OpenMP Texture Decoder if you have a 4+ cores processor. You can play it with gamepad, I use a Logitech F310 but you can use whatever, just be sure to change it's bindings at the GCPad configuration tab.

As for fixing the sound, yes you can. You need to use DSP LLE emulation, wich needs a dump from your console ( http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=23103 ). It also needs a fast processor though, say 3.5+Ghz or so. Be sure to check LLE on thread, and Enable Accurate VBeam emulation in the game specific properties if you use this mode.

Also you can optionally enable faster disc access at the game specific properties to speed up the load of cinematics and such. It can cause the game to randomly hang though, but unlikely.
1st - Yep, the official 3.0 release is recommended for the RE series
2nd - If you want more speed, you should try this settings -> http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=23618
3rd - Just map the buttons in the controller config menu, it's very easy Smile
4th - Yep, indeed. If you want perfect sound, you have to use the DSP LLE recompiler. But be careful, LLE is very demanding for the CPU. If you've got a fast quad core CPU (e.g. i5-3570k) you should check "DSP LLE on thread" to improve the performance (LLE will use a 3rd core). And try to overclock to 4.2GHz.
thanks for your answers Smile

should i use 3.0-739 32bit or 3.0-735 64bit?

i have intel core i7 920 2.66GHz cpu which is a couple of years old, can i play with DSP LLE?

how do i run games with DSP LLE? is it a different program?

None. They meant Dolphin 3.0 the official release. Here http://www.dolphin-emu.org/download.html...arch=win64

Yes if you overclock

You need some DSP dumps. Have a look to this thread http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=23103

isnt 3.0-735 which is only 3 weeks old better than the original 3.0 1 year old version?

or you mean remake runs smoother with old 3.0 version?

You're right. Recent builds (that are "experimental") are better for SOME games. But for RE series Dolphin 3.0 (that is the official release) is still a good choice. I played and finished almost all of RE games with the official release. Moreover recent builds tend to be not so fast as 3.0
I have the best results with Dolphin 3.0-750

- I get fullspeed even in the two mansion-saverooms (dont get this with 3.0 and the same settings).

- I have no memory-card-problems that i experienced in 3.0 (eventually your saves get corrupted)

- Picture-Quality is better than with 3.0 (dont know what causes this, the settings are the same, but the picture is noticeable sharper, at least with my rig).

- Try to avtivate "LLE on thread" and "V-Beam" (if your PC is strong enough for LLE).

At least for REmake ive got the best results with this newer build. But its true, what Lord Vador said, it tends to be slower. But if your PC is strong enough, 3.0-750 surpasses 3.0 in stability and quality (imho!).

I would test both versions and look, which of them runs better on your system.

Hope it helps and have fun.
Yeah when I said "Recent builds" it didn't include 3.0-750. I still haven't tested but according to what you've reported (@HAR65) this build looks excellent for RE games Smile
