I recall someone with an i5-3570k desktop couldn't get good speeds with his PC with an HD3000 IGP at 1xIR, he had to buy a graphics card to take full advantage of his processor. I don't remember who that was, though. Mario Galaxy and many other games are going to be too much for 1xIR and so the fps will plunge way below the expected performance that CPU should be capable of.
The HD3000 handle SMG2 at 1x IR like a champ as well as all of the other so called graphically demanding games.
@SS - Do you mean TSA? I distinctly remember his thread about that issue. I think someone else had a similar problem but it wasn't confirmed (i.e. no evidence presented). Looks like his threads are deleted though, even the handy one about a cheap, Dolphin-capable build.
Yeah, he was the one. Too bad the thread no longer exists. No matter how you look at, it's still pointless to buy a laptop with Intel Graphics when you want to play games.
I strongly disagree. If you're on a tight budget and you're ok with 1x IR the HD 3000 is definitely an acceptable choice.
A couple months ago I was using a desktop that had the Intel HD Graphics Family iGPU (my profile has the old setup) and I could run SSBB and MGSTTS at 2x IR. I have the HD 4000 iGPU in my current laptop even though I don't use it with Dolphin since I have a dGPU, so I don't see why the HD 4000 (or 3000) couldn't handle 1x IR if the old HD Family could handle 2x IR.

i have the same thinking, i have the hd 4000 and a gave my dolphin version the highest parameters and mgstts is running 100% with 15-25 fps aproximately, even that i dont use any software for boosting my speed, so i think it iis really more than capable
