try disable ssaa if you haven't already and also:

if you use dx9, go to the config folder and open the dx9 ini. under hacks, change this to True: DlistCachingEnable

remember to change it back to false when you play other games (unless you want to test it). it provides a good speed boost for games like galaxy, but breaks certain things like transparencies.

Thanks for the tips, sadly, it doesn't work.

You know what's weird is that almost every single tip I tried, almost none of them work except for the overlay speed up with Xtreme's build for Sengoku Basra. That's the only one that works for me.

Is it because my CPU is too crappy? I know it's low end, but it's also a little bit faster than the fastest high-end AMD chip from last generation.

My CPU is an Athlon II x2 215 clocked at 2.7Ghz. I can't overclock it since it's a pre-built from HP. My video card is pretty solid too with an 8800GS. Neither the CPU or the GPU are top end, but they still function well enough for modern gaming, yet very few Wii/GC games actually run fast enough on it. The only games at run at full speed are Rune Factory Frontier, Fire Emblem (GC, NOT Wii), and Muramasa. My CPU supports SSE3 and when I compare the SSE3 builds with the non-SSE3 builds, it's exactly the same.

Oh yeah, there's another strange "issue" with the frame rate of Little King Story.

When you're at the island where the castle is, the emulator displays the frame rate at 30fps. The real game runs at 30fps too. When I walk into the town area, the frame rate display starts counting at 60fps and give me around 35fps give or take. I know that number if fake and would mean I'm somewhere around 20+ fps. Why is that?
hm? how did you get the speedup?
What's free look? That's a huge boost of speed!

Which SVN revision did you use Nabs? I also found your posts in hte NeoGAF forums about how you got LKS to run perfectly. Which settings and SVN are needed? Big Grin
@ disraelie: oh great, thank you...now I know the last boss and ending screen...thank you for spoiling the fun...
Delete those big-time-spoiler images, DAMNIT!

Alright, that's swell! Can't wait for it Big Grin At least tell us which revision you're using?
BTW I'm using Lectrode's 6234 build currently...
as long as it's somewhat recent, you should be ok. i'll test the config later on tonight on the most recent revision and post it up.
Ayt, thanks! The reason I'm asking which revision you're using is because the recent upgrades (around 6460ish-6480) had the nasty flickering problem which was present in past revisions. I was able to roughly 'guess' which SVN you were using by taking note of the date at which you posted your messages that 'it worked perfectly', which was around the first week of September, and came upon the build I'm using now. However, I would really love to hear which settings and build worked best for you, so I can go about my merry way. Thanks! Big Grin
