Hello there!

I've been using Dolphin since I tried to emulate games on my old PC.

It's an AMD Athlon 64 x 2 6000+ with a GT240 DDR3 1 GB.

I'm thinking about getting a brand new PC, and maybe keep some parts from my old PC, these are the 500 GB HDD, and the NVIDIA GT240 DDR3 1 GB.

I'm not a very rich person, I'm actually indeed mid class in money stuff.

I want to know what PC parts should I get to get a 90% speed in most Dolphin games, something new but not that new (2012), I want to be allowed to play Battlefield 3, watch HD movies, and do some Photoshop CS5 photo editing.

I'm considering getting an i3, i5, but not sure about the i7, because it's EXPENSIVE as @#||@!!! I know I might get different offers maybe a i7 2600k, but remember I don't have alot of money, I can't tell you how much money I've, and I want some perfomance-money in reward of a nice computer I can get and get it to last atleast 3 more years or even more.
i7 has hyper threading feature (4 cores 8 threads ) which is useless for dolphin
Recommend :
i5 3570k (k = overclocking )
Asrock Z77/Z75 mobo

What?

I'm not an English speaker, I only speak Spanish, French and Portuguese, I'm learning English though I'm sorry...

I meant is that I want to get a mid-high performance computer, not spending allot of money...

I'm considering the an i5 (will check models and will compare along with the one admin89 told me.

Also, will the GT240 DDR3 1G work well with an i5?

Edit;

Seems AMD is allot cheaper! Any ideas?.

??? AMD LLano A8 3870k ? Faildozer FX-8150 ? Phenom II ?
And AMD is much slower too
Perfomance clock for clock (Dolphin only) : Core i3/i5/i7 3rd gen (i5 3570k) > Core i3/i5/i7 2nd gen (i5 2500k) > Core i3/i5/i7 1st gen (i5 760) > Core 2 duo / 2 Quad = LLano > Phenom II > Faildozer > Athlon

I've been watching some videos and AMD FX 6100 & AMD FX 8150 are incredible cheap compared to i5 and i7 series, also some gameplay videos and it seems good and is pretty much close to a i5 ?. It's cheaper and might let me get a newer video card.

Does anyone else agrees that this is some Faildozer?

Edit;

After reading some reviews and forum stuff, it seems that the AMD FX series do suck. I have considered Intel Core i5-2500

Use search funtion please ! Your question has been answered 100 times
Dolphin use 2 cores + 1 (LLE on thread) . Therefore , i3 2100 @ 3.1GHz rape FX-8150 @ 4.6GHz any day

No "K" = no real overclocking

I'm not experienced in overclocking, and I don't know anything about it, and It might burn up my processor.
You should get i5 3450 instead of i5 2500

Yeah i was actually gonna post it here when I just refreshed the page, it seems cheaper, and there are some nice combos too what do you think of this;

Biostar H61 (Socket 1155)
Intel i5 3450 3.1 Ghz
4GB DDR3 1333Mhz
