I had physics last year and the subjects were 75% math (the last 25% was phyiscs, where you also do mostly math:p)
I kinda said this, and I'm starting at programming now instead. There is still some math obviously (I never had anything against it untill I felt the mind rape of 10 hours math pr day some weeks)

I'm sure I'll do fine.
Only have to make 37/100 to not take remedial classes.
Holy crap! just 37/100? what just happen to the world?, when i was in the school and in my country of course, we have to make 70/100 to not take "remedial" classes :S, and believe me after class from 8:00 (with 1hr to lunch from 13:00 to 14:00) to 18:00 the ones that have to take that classes are not happy teenagers
, and some classes where the Saturdays in the morning, man... i just feel old

I believe the test is split into sections for each subject area (prealgrebra, intermediate algebra, college algebra, trigonometry, geometry) and that you have to score well in a particular section to get credit for it. In other words doing well in the sections in algebra but poorly in the sections on trig and geometry would net you a pretty low overall score but still good enough to not have to take algebra classes.
70% is still considered the passing grade for most tests and everything you posted is still common in the modern world.

As far i know always the qualification of that kind of "multi test" are made by arithmetic mean, if u got x example:
algebra 75/100
geometry 60/100
trigonometry 50/100
at least in my school you just take the "remedial" class because u don't got an over all 70/100, that always was like that, i don't know any "multi test" that is not take by arithmetic mean.
In some countries they have a similar system to the exams for university access if u don't got x example 85/100 u cant go for medicine.
