It's a choice I can understand. What are your actual specs?

Well, the primary components when it comes to a computer's speed is the processor, video card, and RAM. Looking into those would be good for you.
You never told us which games you want to play.
Different games have different hardware requirements.

Please try to create a list.
If you can't and you would like to play most games on either platform, do say so, but expect your laptop to cost more than $700 which will still have trouble with certain games, especially when you enable LLE.
metroid prime all 3 of them wind waker skyward sword mario sunshine
so a good video card, high ram, and a good i3 to i5 processor would speed things up
A new video card? Nope, a new GPU won't speed up Dolphin as Dolphin is more CPU intensive.

btw: It's the same with more RAM Wink
so all i really need to do concerning my current specs is go from 3 to 4 gigs or ram and get a i5 processor.

* Z77 MoBo for overclocking
* decent CPU cooler
* a decent GPU (e.g. Radeon HD 68XX)

+ 4GB RAM and it will do the job Smile
