I was recently attempting to boot SSBB from a folder, (extract all files, so they can be replaced easily), as I read support for this was added a while ago. However I couldn't find the info on how to do it. Tried running the boot.dol from the same folder as the game's files, but the game just says to insert the SSBB disc. I had the same problem
here. As far as I know there isn't a fix for it. However I can confirm boot from extracted files does work with some other games.

Yeah I already got the same issue but redumping solved the problem
