Have 64-bit windows vista SP1 with GTS 250 GPU and 186.18 drivers.
Newest build is faster with Zelda WW running at 60 FPS instead of 30 FPS on build 3404.
The frame rate in games is better(games are working faster(, but it gets more choppy(like frame skipping)
Dual-Core E5200
Nvidia GeForce GTX 260
Here is an update through my testing of different settings..
Anti-Aliasing and Vsync seem to play a big role regarding the choppy, skipping, and laggy frame rates since around revisions 3545. When I disable Anti-Aliasing and Vsync I get quite a boost in frame rate and the games run normally.
By disabling AA and Vsync I was able to get a quite decent speed increase in Mario Galaxy, it solve the issue with other games that are choppy, skipping, and lagging for me.
Both Vsync and AA worked fine without these issues prior to revisions around 3545.
Recent upgraded from 64-bit 3286 to 64-bit 3727 and it's Nice that sound for some games work now + some cutseens and all that, but I got huge slowdown in various games which was running fullspeed before. (Like Dragon Ball Z BT 3)
And I use the same settings on both.

The difference shouldn't have been that great should it?
Windows 7 takes up less resources so yeah i think that is about right ^^
Seeing as this issue is getting quite old, has there been any progress on tracking this issue down and fixing it? I remember one of the coders said he was going to look into it and try to fix the problem when he returned on July 9th.
The issue doesn't seem as prevalent with Vsync and Anti-Aliasing disabled but the slowdown is still there and noticeable.

Thread is not about OS change = FPS increase, it's about change to latest revision = framerate drop
i dont get it then...arnt the newer versions supposed to INCREASE fps while fixing these types of issues? why would it get worse?

The developers are working on fixing issues such as audio problems and increasing compatability with other games like Super Paper Mariom F-Zero GX and MGS:TS. After that is done to an acceptable standard, then they can focus on optimization in order to get better running speeds.
Right now though the big push appears to be getting the Audio DSP perfect.
nolan.check broke fps in 3545, and he's finding a way to do it right.
Performance has increased alot for me lately. Frames have more than doubled on my weak ass pc
