I've noticed using HLE is faster and never causes any slowdowns, but i've noticed sometimes the BG music is either delayed or it will be missing entire parts.

LLE is *generally* more accurate but it seems to cause a massive slowdown in some parts, such as save rooms, despite my powerful PC, there's nothing I could do to stop that.

My question is, which setting did you use? And, is there any major difference when tweaking with the advance audio settings? There are options to run DSP LLE on thread, dumping audio, and then the backend settings as well (xaudio2/dsound, and the sample rate)

I've tried many combinations but I haven't noticed a difference yet, the only differences I notice are using LLE or HLE, and I can't actually determine which one is worth using.
I've never played the game, but I *think* that HLE is generally better for gameplay, but if you want to record without desyncs, then LLE should be used. Then again, you can record without audio, and dump the audio, I'm pretty sure that it will have audio when you're done recording. I'm not sure about the dump audio part, but I know that LLE is used to avoid desyncs. =) Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
LLE -> Best option, if you want perfect sound (and gameplay)
HLE -> If your CPU is not powerful enough to handle LLE.

See, have you played this game? LLE still has audio problems, though not as many, and it causes serious slowdown in certain rooms. I have an intel i5 2500k sandy bridge, i seriously doubt my cpu isn't powerful enough.
Depends on the clock speed Wink An overclocked (4.4GHz) Core i5-2500k is able to handle almost all games with LLE very well.

Yeah RE games have audio issues EVEN with LLE. Still a better deal than HLE though

That's right. Your system is powerful enough to run this game nevertheless you'll have to face speed drops in some very demanding parts
Ive played through the whole game using one of the newest Dol-Gits. I prefer them over 3.0 official release, cause the memory-cards in particular are more stabil than 3.0 ("your memory-card is corrupted and needs to be formated ...") at least with my rig.

The game ran smooth and perfect with LLE enabled. Only in the first two save-rooms in the mansion i had frame- and sounddrops, what is strange, cause they are small rooms without action; cant imagine, what causes the slow-down. Nothing ive tried, had helped (LLE on thread/threads to core, V-Beam eca, eca...) But since your are only a small time of the game here (the save rooms outside the mansion are no problem), its no big deal imho.

Imo its one of the best running, nearly perfect emulated gamecube-Dolphin-games.

edit: ive almost never cheated in a game, but here i love to have Kendos custom handgun "Samurai Edge" via Gecko-codes from the beginning. The game is so much fun with this Smile

Well that's good. What exactly is a dol-git, though? Is it some kind of plugin or something? I'll try it out, whatever that it is, maybe it'll run better for me as well.
I think HAR65 meant to say Dolphin GIT builds.
They're development builds of Dolphin.
You can download them here at the top of the page.

Sorry for writing so imprecise. Garteal gave the answer already. A few more things:

- I set the internal resolution to 1,5 x. This may sound few, but its more than enough to look much better than on the Gamecube and at least for me, it gives a more harmonic picture, cause the pre-rendered backgrounds still remain at a lower resolution. Furthermore i gave it 4x AA with the 3d9 videobackend.

I set "EFB Copies" to Texture and moved the Cache-slider to the left and activated LLE of course.

Thats all. Have fun with this beautiful game.

edit: one further tipp. The save-states has improved too. Although they wont work reliable with RE Zero (had heavy glitches here), ive used it a few times here in REmake without problems. I recommend to use the "normal" saves, but at least its an option, if you dont have any ribbons for the typewriter anymore (what happened to me Blush).

edit 2: one more ^^ ... for the controller, i experienced a huge difference while using the 360-Controller, which works great for this game. The wired version provides a noticeable stronger rumble effect than the wireless one. Dont know what causes this and i found no configuration for this at Win7. Whatever, its a little thing, which might interested all fans of the rumble-feature (like me).
