Hi Nintendo Maniac 64,

Thanks for your response and yes, I do know about Riivolution and we plan to take advantage of that program also. The reason that I'd rather buy a machine that can deal with dolphin is that my son is SIX years old, he plays one of his levels, makes one change, and then plays it again, this of course could become rather laborious with the Riivolution method. I think he likes creating the levels more than he likes playing them. I've asked for advice on this forum because I want to make good choices about the new machine and we're not really strapped for money but no one wants to waste it either. Once my son has created enough custom levels that he's happy with, we will indeed make use of the Riivolution method. And, thanks for the advice on the SD card, I hadn't heard that one.

Cheers!
Seems like the RV350 is a bit underpowered. How about this one?

Thanks
How many harddrives, etc will the PC have?
Do you have any other PCI cards that you will use? (Sound cards, TV tuner, RAID)
How many case fans will you power?
3 sata drives:
300gb 500gb & 1tb
1 lightweight soundcard
no other pci stuff
1 case fan
no raid
In that case, 450W should be more than sufficient for your needs.
If you don't plan on adding more harddrives, and upgrading your GPU, etc, get the PSU you listed above.
Otherwise, I would strongly recommend you get a 600W+ PSU for future upgrades.
Thanks! Done.
