Yes, that was the default setting but thanks for pointing that out because I haven't fussed much with the configuration.

Okay, the Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 looks pretty good. I don't know much about how the motherboard specs would affect dolphin but I was also looking at the Intel BOXDZ77SL50K

Any thoughts?
Intel products are pretty durable . Intel SSD is the best in terms of reliability so...
Choosing a motherboard is mostly a personal preference of what you need.

Comparing the Asrock with the Intel, you'll get more of your moneys worth with the Asrock because:
The Asrock has 2 PCI Express 3.0 ports, which opens the possibility for a SLI or Crossfire configuration. (The Intel has one)
The Asrock has 4 SATA 3GB/s ports. The Intel has 3.
The Asrock has 6 SATA 6GB/s ports. The Intel has 2.
The Asrock has better RAID support than the Intel.

Theres more differences, such as the amount and version of USB ports.
The Asrock has more USB3 slots (which are backwards compatible with USB2 devices, so don't worry about that) than the Intel.

In a nutshell, go for the Asrock.
Thanks! Done.
Well I thought I was done. I was looking at this fan:

but the specs say for sandy bridge. So it won't work with an ivy bridge?

Any suggestions?

Thanks
The Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge CPU's share the same LGA1155 socket.
Okay then, that'll be the one unless anyone has a suggestion for a fan that they like better.

Thanks
Nope, it's a good choice.

Have you decided on a case and power-supply yet?
This is an upgrade so I already have a nice antec case. I was just looking at the power supply and it's a Roseville RV-350. What do you think?
You know, there's a Wii homebrew app called "Riivolution" that can allow you to run custom levels made with Reggie on the actual Wii hardware. I'd reckon this would be a much more affordable solution:

Note that I highly recommend that your SD card be defragmented before running Riivolution, otherwise bad things may happen with the file-replacement process.
