Okay, I absolutely suck at making threads but here it goes...

I need to get a minor update to my graphics card. I'm currently using a crappy GeForce 6100. I don't wanna spend more than about $50. I don't care if it's an ATI or nVIDIA card as long as it's an pretty good upgrade. Oh and it needs to be a PCI-e x16.

Please give me some ideas for good upgrades

That's a pretty decent card. You should (both) get it.

I was considering it. The 9500 that I wanted had 1gb of mem but was 40 bucks more
Wait wait. Before advice is given we at least need to know what kind of slot you have. 6100 (unless it is an IGP) would suggest you have AGP right? How much power does your current Power supply have and do you have any spare connections if in case a new video card requires additional juice?

i need to update to tho, but my pci slot isn't Pcix2 so the cards will work half speed Sad
and i need a new gpu cooler

on that note im guessing you are using agp (geforce6100? what) so i would go for an ATI Radeon HD 3650 (best agp card around) or a GF7

It's in laptop Sad

Anyways, any AGP card would be pretty good Smile
