I used to have AMD Phenom II x4 970 cpu and when I switched to i7 2600k, I experienced a very significant speed improvement in Dolphin! I've never encountered a such slowdown in Dolphin (beside LLE) with an i7 2600k.
So I would say don't even bother looking for new AMD cpu, especially if you want to run Dolphin so good, period.
Go for intel cpu just like what everyone here have suggested.
