Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

I picked that mother board mainly because it had a lot of sata ports, and a lot of pci-e slots with two full sizes I can use since I don't SLI. As far as pairing a decent graphics card, I admit that I'm a bit of a noob. I tend to look at benchmarks rather than at specs. What would you suggest as a graphics card that would be under 200$?

Being humble, I've never understood how to use 3dstudio max, and the biggest program I've ever compiled only took like two minutes for a scratch build. Lets not even talk about Blender...

I'm also curious about but I'll probably have to look into it, overclocking. This will be the first system with an unlocked multiplier. I usually overbuild the system to make up for not OCing the system.

Nvidia GTX 550TI or AMD 6870

as long as its a K series it will overclock fine, iv read reports that ivybridge in some cases can be hard to overclock and keep temps down, so do the research and be safe,
check my sig for good components for dolphin, if you want to save money the gtx 460 is a fine graphics card i run it at 1920x1080 IR (or there abouts its something liek 1948x1180 in dolphin) and have no issues (can run most games at 100% or more speed just fine with LLE enabled)
