Hate to start another thread for this game but i couldn't find a dedicated game thread and all the specific problem threads didn't really seem that relevant to my issues so i figured a new thread as in order.

Anyway, the problems:

1. The menu doesn't show up. It is there, and i can interact with it, but it's invisible. In its place are weird graphical bugs like this (http://i.imgur.com/Zw9lM.jpg). As i advance in the menus, other random graphics that seem like they're from the opening cut scene show up.

2, Speaking of which, that leads to problem number 2. I can't get past the opening cut scene. It doesn't really freeze, but basically starts looping almost like a GIF or something at this point (http://i.imgur.com/l6BTy.jpg). Other times it does actually straight up freeze before it even gets there. EDIT: Scratch that. I've figured out that the problem isn't getting stuck in a loop, but rather there's dialog that i must advance to move on. Problem is, like the menu, the dialogue is completely invisible. So apparently dialogue doesn't show up at all either. I'll take this opportunity to add it shouldn't be a driver issue as i made sure everything was up to date before posting.

3 (fixed)

Settings (mostly back to default after messing around to no helpful ends):

Custom projection hack enabled
accurate vbeam emulation enabled

I know this game has been notoriously hard to emulate in the past, but it has a playable rating and i've read that it's supposed to be able to run almost perfectly at this point. Hopefully someone can help me get there.

Some suggestions:

* Try so set EFB Copies to RAM
* Try to enable "Virtual XFB" or "Real XFB"
* Try so set the Texture Cache Accuracy to "Safe"

Tried all that in my current revision (30721), didn't fix anything.

Then downgraded to basic 3.0 and tried those options, no good. Menu/dialogue still invisible.
I've stumbled my way further through the game with no start menu and dialogue boxes at all into the first battle only to find that the battle menu's are absent as well. The common issues with this game, audio and crappy framerate due to LLE, are working perfectly well for me. Really annoying that even with that out of the way there's even more problems.

I know people who have had issues with no dialogue boxes in other games have suspected GPU issues. Could that be the case here? Is GTX 460 not sufficient for this game?
if you couldn't find a dedicated thread for this, its clear you didn't try very hard

Actually, guy, i did look hard. I searched and went a good number of pages deep and checked a lot of threads. I would have assumed a dedicated thread would have more the SIX POSTS like most other dedicated threads, so high post counts was what i was looking for. So don't jump down my throat for no good reason without knowing what you're talking about, got it?

In my searches of the forum i saw a lot of your posts as well. Most were power tripping bs in similarly condescending fashion like this as opposed to anything remotely helpful.
how can i power trip when i can't ban you.

can an admin help me with this, i want to power trip and its just not possible as a normal member.
@Squall - The OP should have searched first, but he otherwise followed all the rules about making new threads. Plus, we only close when it's a super-common error that gets asked hundreds of times. OP's free to post a proper thread here or post in the Game Discussion forum.

@Fubot - I've seen the first screenshot you posted, and I had that error a while back when I first started using Dolphin. I can't remember how I dealt with it. I'm playing the game just fine. Let me give you my settings. SoA runs perfectly for me.

Try that and see how it goes. See if switching the backend to OpenGL (what I used) and DX11.

If you exclude the point made about posting specs, sure.
OP filled out profile specs, the only thing to nitpick is that the CPU model isn't listed. The point of that rule is to make specs available, so as long as we have some way to examine the OP's hardware, it's fine.
doesn't give us any information about drivers used, desktop settings, nvidia control panel settings, or anything else that would/could effect emulation
