So, I think I've decided to by straight from the manufacturer, like Shonumi suggested. I'm overwhelmed by the number of different MoBos here...I don't know which to choose for the i5 3570k ...the one that it's ticked on by default is the

Any pointers on what to look for?
That motherboard is good, keep it.
And don't worry, we'll help you with this.

What resolution does your monitor support?
What graphical settings do you wish to play (most) PC games on?
I agree with Shonumi, check out the Cyberpower website and build your PC there, you have more control over your components so you can pick whatever you need yourself.
Otherwise, if you're a little technical, you can always manually purchase these components from stores and assemble the thing yourself, which is much cheaper than the option above.
Let us know what you decide and what you've built.
My monitor isn't really a monitor; I'll be using my Visio 32" t.v via HDMI.
I think if I had some help (perhaps in the form of a video tutorial or a step by step instructional article like something on about.com) I may be able to figure out how to put all the pieces together. That said, I really don't know what to buy insofar as components like MoBos, sound cards, video cards, coolant system/heat sinks/thermal adhesives, tower/cases, etc...
I'd really appreciate any pointers on the subject, perhaps a reference to buying guide?

Sure, no problem. I'm assuming it goes up to 1080p? (1920x1080)?

Feel free to ask anything you'd like to know in this thread, we'll help you.
That said, getting a soundcard is useless for the average user, so skip that option.
As for your cooling, let us know the options. You're going to want to overclock at some point, so you need the cooling for it.
Same for the towers, let us know the options and we'll help.
Feel free to build the whole thing and show us the end result, we'll tell you what's wrong and why it is.

If they use H77 mobo instead of Z68/z77 mobo , you won't be able to overclock
"k" CPU is meant to be overclocked
Since we're talking about that : is Z77 the optimal choice or is Z68 enough (for 3570K)?
z68 mobo need to update bios
it's risky . So z77 is a better choice
on gigabyte mobos z77x are for overclock, z77 are not

Where's the CPU on that list? If you forgot to add it to the total price, your DIY build might not be as cheap as you planned. Too lazy to add up the totals myself to see if you just didn't post the CPU but counted the cost anyway. :p
