You only think you do. Smile

Yes, nice and friendly. If it gets too far off-topic I will take it back. Big Grin

I didn't bother to read the rest of the wall at the moment.

Good conversation is good though.

Meh,I cant argue with NV, I aways end up learning something from him that leaves me so amazed I cant argue back,, whixh is exactly what just happened Big Grin
Anyways, I agree lets not spoil SS's thread Smile Now I have to google for some indie games to buy, excuse me.

About what kind of action adventure Im looking for, I dont quite know, Im just getting tired of shooting things. Maybe a hack n Slash or a Mario like platformer. Thanks for this, maybe the game industry isnt as disgraced as I believed. A quick googling showed me that. I need to stop reading IGN

PS: I still think other m is much better than any metroid prime, sorry Big GrinBig Grin

Those are two completely different types of games.

Yes you do. They are both figuratively and literally the fox news of gaming (they're owned by news corp. which is owned by Rupert Murdoch in case you didn't know that).

You sure the first img link doesn't work for you? It works fine on my end.
Whoa. Go to work for a couple of hours, and all I see when I come back are walls of text! Not that I want to jump in, but I bought M:OM knowing it wasn't going to be too good, yet I still wanted to play it. If I had to sum up my experience with M:OM, I'd say it's definitely a Meh-troid game. Hah, I crack myself up. Wink

Oh, but M:OM broke my Wii. True story. As soon as I bought it, the disc motor has issues and eventually quit, so we had to send it off to Nintendo for repairs.

I actually remember when Star Fox came out. There were some pretty trippy commercials for it, or rather some Kellogs cereal tie-in where you could get watches or something like that by mailing in box tops or whatever. I tried playing Star Fox, but the game's controls handle so poorly compared to SF64. It's the same whenever me and my sis play Super Mario Kart for the SNES. It's nothing to do with the graphics, it's just that trying to drive in that game is like trying to climb out of a grease-slicked pit with mushed bananas for hands; you slide all over the freakin' place. Though I'll say this, I love how the game keeps getting remade (Star Fox -> Star Fox 64 -> Star Fox 64 3D). One only wonders what's next.
The SNES Star Fox game could have passed for a really crappy N64 game, but the controls were much better than the SNES Mario Kart. The SNES Mario Kart was a pathetic 2D-type limited motion game and doesn't even compare. SNES Star Fox was ground breaking stuff.
You're pretty close on the mark about Star Fox being a low-quality N64 game, actually. Miyamoto cancelled the sequel (Star Fox 2) in order to produce a remake of the first on the N64, since he saw all of the improvements he could do. The Super FX was a pretty interesting piece of tech as well. I wasn't exactly trying to compare Star Fox's controls to SMK, just that the difference in control schemes between the SNES games and N64 games is night and day for me and my sis.

I think it comes down to the N64's analog stick over a regular control pad. Flying in the SNES Star Fox takes some amount of conscious effort; the control pad doesn't account for any sensitivity, so you have to correct yourself if you're off. Consequently, aiming is harder as well. That's all good for a challenge, but not so much for me. I just wanna grab a controller and get to blasting, with little futzing around trying to keep my ship on course.
There is another reason why fps have become so popular that I forgot to mention. It's the same reason that violence is so prevalent in modern video games:

Oh, a video, and a long one too. Can't you just write your points, as I rarely can put on videos, unless I'm fine without sound.

Also, I read 'Other Ms' as 'Other Microsoft'. There's already a problem throughout the world where people add unnecessary apostrophes, don't make one where people leave them out. It's 'Other M's'

It's not mine. And I'm not going to transcribe the entire thing by ear.

Microsoft is M$ or MS, not Ms.

And if you want to get technical both Other Ms and Other M's are grammatically incorrect. Neither should be used.

If you're talking about Microsoft, then yes, both are totally ungrammatical. If the subject is about Metroid: Other M, both can be used in certain cases. For Other Ms, if there were additional games made, e.g. Metroid: Other M 2 or 3 (heaven forbid that from happening), you could say something like "I don't think the Other Ms had enough cutscenes." For Other M's, you could say something like "Other M's graphics look good in HD."
