Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

I am new to Dolphin so I'm sure I'm doing something wrong... I don't know how to setup a pad. Anyway when I launch a .gcm I get 3 errors:
1. Error loading Plugins/Plugin_PadSimple.dll: can't read info
2. Can't init any PAD Plugins
3. Couldn't init the core. Check your Configuration.

I'm running Vista home prem, sp2, dual core 2.4 ghz, 4 ram.
I'm using dolphin SVN R 3402.

I have directx 10.

then update your drivers but normal you have to update your directx when this come out srry for my bad english

I have directx 10.

It doesn't matter, since Dolphin only utilizes DirectX 9.0. Vista ships with a very basic version of the DirectX 9.0 runtimes which are necessary to run the operating system since DX10 is not backwards compatible with DX9 hardware, applications or games.

You'll need to update your DirectX 9.0 runtimes to the latest bi-monthly release, by using the web updater or downloading the complete redistributable package.

How do I set it up to play with my keyboard? I fixed the errors by getting DX9.

Maybe a good sticky should be that everyone should get the latest directx 9 package
