In case you don't know , he has Pentium Sandy Bridge G620 @ 2.6GHz [Category 2: Very Fast]
For the same clock 2.6GHz , A Sandy Bridge CPU(2nd gen) will beat Intel Core i3 (1st generation)
Core i3 will beat Core 2 duo and so on
It looks like you have a wolfdale dual core @ 2.6GHz [Category 5: Moderate or Category 4: Moderate/fast] which is too slow for most games
at least it is good on dragonball budokai tenkaichi 3 wii, new super mario bros wii, soul calibur 2 gamecube, timesplitter 2 gamecube(very fast), mario kart wii, mario double dash gamecube, wiining eleven... gamecube,... virtua tennis 4 wii,... and some other games.
i can't play alot of games but these games are really good to play, high mark on gamespot
Those games are "very light" for dolphin except MK Wii which you get half-speed (as i expected) . You don't need a good hardware to play them (I'm not even gonna mention the Nvidia 7300GT which doesn't meet the minimum requirements)
I have old desktop dual core E5300 (wolfdale) @ 3.6GHz + Asus 9800GT .
2.6GHz (stock speed) : Most games run slow
3.0GHz : Most games are barely playable
3.5GHz : MK Wii and most games run fullspeed but the speed still drops at some point , Xenoblade and Pandora's tower are not playable due to audio stuttering (i have to play it on a laptop)

I Think the golden rule should simply be-Can It run the last story?,If you can run that game full speed With EFB to RAM Activated,You can run anything else on dolphin,PERIOD.That Game is pretty much the watermark for performance.
Nope. The last story is not the slowest game we've encountered by a long shot. Try some of the call of duty GC games.

Broken games don't really count, we should only measure demanding games that work with the JIT.
I wonder if Okami is slower. I was getting 3-15 fps on my Q6600 at 3.2GHz if I recall. I don't have the last story but I highly doubt it's THAT slow considering my rig gets 40-60 fps on SMG2 (usually around 50 fps) depending on the world.
I'd like to see someone with a 2500k (or better) run the game "Smugglers Run" for the GC, that's a tough one. I get like 30% speed there. The game has a big open world map where you can go anywhere, it's pretty demanding.

I Have a core i7 920 oc'd to 4.2 ghz(Don't forget,The i7 has around 15-20% better core efficiency over the quad series per core as well),And Even with all the speedhacks enabled,The last Story still drops to 19 fps in the city marketplace. It's a VERY demanding game. But it's a GREAT GAME,The best RPG I've played in a LONG time.It has that "Magic" That Final Fantasy has been missing for a long time now(Don't even get me started on what an abortion Final Fantasy Xlll was...It really is shameful.)
I'm pretty sure okami is still slower.

Never tried it out on Dolphin,I Had the ps2 version,That ran pretty well on PCSX2,With some texture glitches. I Wonder what about that game makes Dolphin choke? They didn't improve the graphics,Did they?
