For those looking to permanently pair their Wiimotes to their PC (i.e. you just press a button on the Wiimote and it pairs up with the PC every time). I can confirm this works for Windows 7. I wanted it to pair permanently using the Toshiba stack because in my experiments it seems to be the most reliable.

Steps:
1. Uninstall the Toshiba Bluetooth stack if you have it installed. It should be just the Microsoft Bluetooth stack to start with.
2. Add each Wiimote as a Bluetooth device to windows using the Microsoft stack (typing in "Add a bluetooth device" on the start menu should get you where you need to go).
3. Once all the Wiimotes are added, install the Toshiba Bluetooth stack (this will override the MS Bluetooth stack)
4. Go through the process of adding each Wiimote again using the Toshiba Bluetooth program. Once they're all added, they should then be automatically recognized in the future when you press any button on the Wiimote.

And that's it. For me, I have 4 Wiimotes (3 regular, 1 Wiimotion plus) permanently paired and all I have to do is hit the A button about 1-2 seconds before I start up the game in Dolphin and I'm set. Smile

Hope this helps someone out there!

I really hope this works, trying it now!
Let me know if it did / didn't work!

Thank you so much! It works 10x better than the MS BT stack and I can connect so much easier. I do have one question though: when I go to connect my wiimote, I need to double click on it in the toshiba manager for it to pair, which it does instantly. How did you get it to automatically connect by just pressing a button? Did you sync with the actual red button or 1+2?

Do you have the Toshiba manager running in the background already, or do you launch the program each time you want to connect? The way I have it set up is that the Toshiba Bluetooth manager is always running. After having initially paired each controller, each time thereafter the controller connects upon pressing the button. This happens even if I restart the computer, replace the batteries, etc.

Hm well I always have the manager running, it just never decides to automatically connect. When I press any button on my wiimote, the lights just flash for a split second and then go off. I have to press 1 and 2 and then double click on my remote in the manager. Maybe we have different model wiimotes? Maybe it has something to do with our bt adapters? Who knows. Anyways, I appreciate your help in getting me this far Smile

Not a problem. I have Wiimotes ranging from the first ones that came with the system to the gold Wiimotion plus remote that came with Skyward Sword.

One question though - before you installed the Toshiba BT stack, did you add / pair the Wiimotes using the Windows BT stack? (i.e. step 2: 2. Add each Wiimote as a Bluetooth device to windows using the Microsoft stack (typing in "Add a bluetooth device" on the start menu should get you where you need to go)?

Yep. Something may have gone wrong though, I'm not sure. I'll re-try your process and hopefully I will have it working soon. If I get it working, I'll make a video showing exactly what to do so other people will know.

Edit: Also, what version of the bt stack are you running? I'm on v7.00.08. It says I have 30 days to evaluate the manager. Does yours say that?

+1
Win 7 64
Bta6210 2.1 class
Toshiba stack version 8
Original wiimotes, 1 regular, 1 tr version

Everything is working fine as it should, I just can't get it to auto Connect
I uninstalled Toshiba stack, let windows load regular drivers, connected the wiimots using Microsoft stack, works like it should. Reinstalled Toshiba stack, added wiimotes, works as it should,, but once disconnected, stays disconnected until I manually reconnect them.
Is it something in the way you connect it during the Ms stack? I usually use the red button, then pair without code. Is there something else I need to verify or confirm before moving on from this step?

For me the same problem here.
Did it like mentioned above - but no permant pairing. Every time when i power off the PC or the wiimote i need to pair again in toshiba stack befor i can use the wiimote with dolphin.

U really can power off the pc, turn it on, load dolphin and then only press A for 2 seconds and the wiimote is connected? If so please make a video of this process and post on youtube.

And the we have to figure out what u are doing differently then we do here...
btw. - i tried Toshiba stack 8.00.02 and 9.00.03 - same behavior....

Thanx!!
