It's a pity that I've tried that and it didn't help not one bit.

It works if you weren't using those settings and then started to use them. Also, your hardware is very weak and you need a new PC. Settings do not provide miracles, better hardware does. Most of the issues you post around this forum are due to your old outdated hardware, get something better.

Well what version are these settings for? 3.0 or it's newer revisions?
For newer revisions, but you can use them on 3.0 too.
It did give me a bit of an increase using 3.0, it almost feels as fast as the old revisions I use.
That's why the thread is named "settings for best speed" Tongue
ok, so i noticed some multi core options I hadnt before (dsp lle on thread and openmp texture decoder) and those helped alot. My main thing now is a stutter when it's loading, like uh...the Fire Emblem stage. When it changes forms or whatever, there will be a momentary stutter with an audio loop. Same thing when a pokemon comes out of a ball or something like that. Can I set a read ahead cache or something to help with this? I have a lot of HDD space I'm not using.
Well... no. When you have audio problems, try LLE.
the LLE options crash as soon as I select a game. Just goes right back to the Dolphin main menu or whatever.
Do you see an error message or something like that?

If yes, you don't have the two files which are necessary for LLE. But you can easily dump them -> http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=23103

Edit - dumped em and using em, no longer crashing on Startup. Audio quality has improved (there's an echo now), not sure if the stuttering is better, worse or the same. Using DSound it's absolutely horrible, XAudio2 sounds fine. I feel like HLE Emulation is less breaky.
When using LLE audio, it may be worthwhile to check out the VBeam Trick. I can personally say that it pretty much eliminated the stuttering with LLE in the handful of games I tested, it might work for you, but it's known that it won't work if the hardware is simply too inadequate or weak. Nevertheless, I'd recommend giving it a shot.
