Seeing that this thread has similarities tomy problems, i want to post my problems here..Wink

Well, its the same problem like the one the te has, i can run smg and smg2 only under HLE sound, with LLE ist just impossible.

But people in this forum here always say that i5 2500k is able to handle smg with LLE Recompiler enabled...for me not?

Dont know, my mobo and gpu are good enough, but LLE just unplayable, even when i set all graphic settings to the lowest..(by the way, fps and speed are nearly similiar for me, wayne if have nearly maximum graphic settings or just 1x internal resolution, games stays very slow..

Dunno where i did the mistake. If its not possible with i5 2500k, decent graphic settings and LLE, to play, I ask me whats wrong here..I installed all drivers i could get for my mobo from manufacturers homepage and gpu driver too, ofc..did i miss sth?

Or did i oc the cpu in a wrong way? I just set the multiplier to 44, nothing else..the voltage stuff is all on "auto", and i assume that my pc can set the voltages better than myself with auto..do i have to put more voltage on mobo? If yes, how much? Always if i play with voltage settings in the bios, my pc doesnt boot anymore after this, and I can jump the bios..

And additionally I want to say, If some guys say now "Whiner, why do you not play with HLE then, whats so bad about it"; well bad is nothing about it, i think there are no audio bugs with it, BUT dolphin doesnt even run with HLE properly .-. At some spots in the game, speed drops under 60% and fps under 40 fps...its HLE!!!

The backend im running is OpenGL, but with Direct3D9 nothing gets better..

Anybody can help?

cheers
Same problem here (I posted the same question but got ignored :/)

Many games don't care what most of the settings are, except for dual-core, as they run on max FPS with no problems with almost everything maxed out. Their emulation speed starts fluctuating as soon as LLE is enabled which is very annoying.

My rig's specs are:-
Intel i7 980 at 3.60GHz
HD Radeon 6990
Corsair 24 GB of RAM at 1066.64MHz
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

Current emulator settings:-
Dual Core enabled
Idle skipping
JIT compiler
Resolution 1920x1080
2x Internal resolution
AA: 9x SAA
AF: 16x
Force Texture Filtering
Scaled EFB copy
Per-Pixel Lighting
EFB to RAM
Widescreen Hack

I have no problems, as of yet, in running any game at 100% speed and 60 FPS at all situations. Problems only arise when LLE is used. LLE causes slowdowns no matter the settings I knock down.
Getting 100% speed in a game doesn't mean you'll be able to maintain full-speed above all with LLE. Overclocking will help you to optimize your speed
@ShiroiKage - LLE audio and EFB Copies->RAM kills performance. If the game you're playing does not require EFB Copies set to RAM, use Texture instead.

@ESChinski - Post your Dolphin settings. Click the Config button and look at the General tab. Click the Graphics button and look at the General, Enhancements, and Hacks tabs. Also click on the DSP button and look at the Audio tab. Tell us what you have enabled (or show us with some screenshots).

thats a random spot in smg..with oc'ed cpu and gpu..

benchmark without any oc

benchmark wiht cpu oc'ed to 4,4 Ghz and gpu oc'ed to maxmimum too..thats normal? Other guys have 7000-12000 Points with same cpu and gpu..despite i think thats fraud..

@Shonumi LLE makes emulation speeds fluctuate even without EFB --> RAM (and I'm really sure what the latter does)
I will try what @LordVador suggested and overclock my processor (maybe to 4.0GHz?) and see what happens.

The thing is I don't know what options are intensive on what system component so that I can continue to troubleshoot them myself. So, is is EFB --> RAM intensive on the IOH traffic, or is it intensive on memory space? If it's the latter then there is not much I can do about it with an Intel processor. I would ask the same of LLE. Could it, also, help if I chose DSP LLE to have a dedicated thread?
@ESChinski - Couldn't find anything that sticks out to me (your GPU should be able to handle those graphical settings), but if you would try something for a moment. Use these speed settings exactly like SS posted. If you still don't get fullspeed with HLE, then something is wrong (as if you didn't already know :p) but it might point to something other than Dolphin settings.

@ShiroiKage - To be honest, I read where slowdowns occur, but I completely forgot. EFB Copies->RAM puts it in system RAM, so I guess it depends on your memory. Someone else probably has a better explanation as to why RAM is more demanding on a system than Texture. At any rate, LLE on Thread vastly helps LLE performance, at least in all my test cases, so definitely try enabling that.

1-Yes try to overclock to 4.0 GHz
2- Check LLE on Thread

you dont have any problems with 3.3 ghz?

maybe theres sth wrong with the game...the iso file..but i have tested three games..?

tested it with min specs and 60 fps 100% speed 90% of the time..but even there sometimes little issues...SO it should be with nearly max settings and lle..=((((((((((((

and not with min specs and hle..

Shonumi do you have a score in 3dmark for your cpu..?

maybe theres sth wrong with the ripped game, so its not dolphins or my hardwares fault but iso code's?

Or with your DSP files
