Yes, it is. Phenom cpus were so awful that almost nobody bought them. Which is why there existence is ignored and people usually mean phenom II when they say phenom. But just because people know what you're talking about does not mean that you should take the easy route. This is how bad habits spread through the internet.

Hardcore AMD fans bought them, much as they do bulldozer now.
I only bought the Phenom II because I was on a small budget.
Also, I didn't overclock so is it normal to get 25~ FPS in MH: Tri?
HoTD 2 & 3 also have unstable FPS's as my FPS drops to around 25 when zombies show up.
