Should be playable, but don't expect too much.

I agree, fullspeed sometimes, sometimes not.

The Acer Aspire can definitely do 2x native, or 720p or whatever.

(From the Wiki)
r3.0-260-gfce09c6 (emulated motion+ branch)
Linux 3.0 x64 Intel Core2 Duo E6420 @ 2.7GHz nVidia GeForce GTX 420 2x IR, 20 FPS in Skyloft, 21-26 FPS outside, 24-30 FPS in dungeons. No reproducible crashes, graphics issues or any other issues with the OpenGL plugin. Game is fully playable with the emulated motion+ controls.
A few selected points in the game are very difficult with those, tough. scummos

Performance should be better than this by a decent margin.
2.5x to be exactly
Nvidia GT 540M = Nvidia GT 630M (rename)

I knew that.
Skyward sword is very graphically demanding.
Not really
1x or 2x or 2.5x make no difference in SS
I tried 1x IR + 4x AA , same

Probably all that post-processing or filtering or whatevs.
Uhm , you're right . After i turn off the framelimit , I notice 3-4FPS difference between 1x and 2.5x ; 2x and 2.5x are not noticeable (may be 1-2FPS)

Odd.
IR : Auto (Multiple of XXX x XXX) give me the same speed as 1x IR but better graphic
Seem like i have to stick with that option for a while (Dolphin 3.0 694 TriForce)
Here's a brilliant video of Skyward Sword on a weaker version of the Acer Aspire.
