That is amazing!!!
How stable is it?
Is it a local, or a dedicated server?
Like the ToS reference btw.

Yet more incredible work. Thank you for your contributions.
Man, this really makes me want to play PSO again. Are there any specific instructions that need to be followed in order to get this working?
@Garteal: Could also be a Tales of Phantasia reference (Sylverant was one of the twin moon, iirc) but I only know that cause I'm such a nerd :p

. But yeah, that makes sense since they're both part of the Aselian timeline.06-22-2012, 02:28 AM
It is a PSO server made by bluecrab: http://sylverant.net/connecting-to-sylverant/
Currently the code only works on Windows, however I don't think it will be hard for someone to add the backends for linux/osx.
Hopefully it will be ready to share by this weekend

Looks wonderful.
Thank you for taking on this task. PSO, both Episode I&II and Episode III, are my favorite Gamecube games, and possibly my favorite games of all time.
I look forward to the release, sir!

Incredible. This could pave the way for Mario Kart Double Dash online matches, with the LAN trick =D

Really cool stuff.
Any chance you can take some pics with Episode 3 online? Even though we have Blue Burst, you can't play Episode 3 anywhere else except for the Gamecube. Being able to easily play Episode 3 online with Dolphin might help boost interest in the game again.
That and it would be nice if we had support for keyboard controllers.

Do you know of a Ep III server I can actually get on? Sylverant's site says that it doesn't support Ep. III yet (but I haven't tried it yet, either).
I don't think implementing the gc keyboard would be very hard, the problem is how you actually would map it to inputs. ie many keys are already claimed for gc pad input, and for the keyboard you would obviously need an entire keyboard.
Solutions I can think of are:
second keyboard
use gamepad for gcpad, so you can claim the keyboard for gc keyboard
have some toggle button to enter "gc keyboard" mode...
what do you think?
