Hi guys, sorry for the late reply. I was at work all day yesterday and had no time to relax or anything.

I will answer all the questions asked shortly

1) Do you think brawl could run native resolution on the baseline macbook pro 13 inch?

Probably not. The baseline macbook pro has no separate GPU. It uses an integrated intel HD4000 card. Best way is for you to try it!

2)Pls post the specs of your Macbook, it'll be helpful for me and other ppl who want to buy a Retina MBP.

I have the base retina macbook pro. Specs are(from apple)

2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor (Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz) with 6MB shared L3 cache

8GB of 1600MHz DDR3L onboard memory

NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory and automatic graphics switching

3) Can you try some more demanding games and see how they perform? SMG 1 + 2 for example

Will try later tonight.

Here are my settings. The build I was using was crashing so i reverted back to 3.0.

Enable Dual Core
Enable Idle Skipping
JIT Recompiler

Audio
DSP HLE emulation
Emable DTK Music
Enable Audio Throttle
CoreAudio
48000 Hz

Graphics
Backend (OpenGL)
FullScreen Resolution(2880x1800)
Aspect Ratio Auto
Use FullScreen

Enhancements
Internal Resolution:
Auto(Window Size) -> Note, I could chose this resolution to be 2880 x 1800 in the newer builds, but on version 3.0 release I cannot, so I chose auto.

I'm not sure what all the settings mean under hacks/advanced so I left them as they are and just disabled fog

Probably not. It's been discussed here.

ohh alright.I have a feeling the games will be playable once intel addresses the issues w/ the intel hd 4000 so i'll just take the plunge and get that macbook pro.And Sorry for posting in this thread I didn't realize it was the wrong one.

Updated post above ^.

A thing you can do for brawl(what I did earlier actually on my 2008 macbook) is enable the fast brawl mode under special brawl. It makes the game speed 2x. Since I was getting 30 fps on my 08 mac, the game was playable because its speed was 2x and at 30 fps it was kinda like playing at 60 fps at 1x speed, although not exact

Thanks for the tip!But now I don't think i'll have too much of a problem at 480p since the intel 3000 was able to play both games.

A fairly good IR for screenshots but your gpu won't be able to maintain fullspeed at this resolution in the heavier games.
