Hello everyone,

Recently i bought a whole new system, but sadly i haven't been getting the performance i was hoping for. My new system is:

CPU: INTEL CORE i5 2500K
Motherboard: ASROCK H61M-S
RAM: KINGSTON 8GB DDR3 1333MHZ
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II/OC

For some reason, Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Brothers Brawl and a few others aren't giving me the performance i thought i would had gotten with a system like this. Whats strange is that i have been using fraps and i get constant 60 frames with no drops, yet on Mario Kart Wii i get stuttering quite frequently.

Could someone please point me out to the best configuration possible for the Dolphin version i am using (3.0-690-dirty).

I use the resolution 1280-1024 when on my PC monitor, or 1280-720 when i am using my TV.
Post your Dolphin settings (as screenshots if possible)
Thanks for the reply DefenderX, i updated my first post with my settings.
A few things:

Uncheck:
* Force Texture Filtering

Check:
* OpenMP Texture Decoder (can reduce stuttering)
* Lock Threads to Cores

Also try to use the official Dolphin 3.0 release.

Will do so, as for the Dolphin 3.0 release. Being a bit to Dolphin, but not to emulation. I have noticed that things have been improving a lot, wouldn't the version i am using right now be a straight improvement over the 3.0 release ? Thank you mate

depends. yeah, there are improvementes. but there are not really huge improvements in performance. The newer revisions are more accurate Wink
Having changed everything you told me, and decreasing the Internal Resolution to 1.5x and the AF to 2x, i am still getting stuttering and quite some lag now and then on Brawl. Is it common, should i decrease more those settings or even AA ?

The most extreme case of stuttering and lag is on the stage "Castle Siege" on Brawl, specially when there are map transitions on that level, this happens with 3 CPUs and 1 Player.
Try to disable AA first and set the IR to 4x instead.

btw: You could try the "Accurate VBeam Emulation" // right click on your game -> properties
Updated my post below, "The most extreme case of stuttering and lag is on the stage "Castle Siege" on Brawl, specially when there are map transitions on that level, this happens with 3 CPUs and 1 Player."

As for 4x IR. Thats increasing a lot what i have right now which is 1.5x, isn't that gonna make it slower ?

What does Accurate VBeam Emulation do ?

Thank you mate, and am sorry if am taking time out of you.

It'll make the game feel faster or something like that, i don't really know. For details, pls ask a Dev.

Well, did you try to overclock your CPU?

no, your GPU is strong enough for 4x IR.
