Thanks again, I must really sound unappreciative, but belive me i appreciate the advice.
Its not so much the time, Its just getting the system right again - Its time i really use elsewhere, not to mention i am getting fed up installing windows countles times
The980x is £325 on ebay, which i thought was apretty decent price, besides i do ALOT of CAD & CAM work since i do alot of engineering and CNC and that can take advantage of all 6 cores so thats what leans me towards the 980x.
My computer isn't just a gaming rig

I'm fairly sure you will have a generally fuller and more satisfactory life with the ivy bridge processor.

Thanks for that, in that case what would be a good board that would be at least comparible or better Mobo to go with an Ivy,I need to get it all in the £325 budget though.

They are good Asus and Gigabyte z77 models.
People are saying nice stuff of the asrock z77 models too.
I like Asus better.
Go to a cheap, reliable place (either online or in real life) and look at z77 motherboards. Look at the cheapest, look at a few reviews for it. If it fails to meet your exacting standards look at the next cheapest.
Especially if you're within pick-up range, I recommend scan computers, as they're dirt cheap, yet very reliable. If you can't pick up, then they're still reasonably cheap. They also sell mobo+CPU+RAM combos, and their VB20i and VB25i are probably the best option for you, if you go for that route, unless you'll pay them to OC it for you (which admittedly does give it a ridiculously long warranty for an OC'd part).
I get all my parts from Scan, every computer I have ever bought came from that place
