Arrrgh! 5 days without internet. Dialup is bad enough, but NOTHING. Come on! I'm only able to send this message because I'm on wifi in town. PeoplePC SUCKS. Nothing but constant runaround and incompetence. They have a server problem and they ask me to restart my computer. AAAAAAGGGGGGH! If they don't have this fixed tonight, we're switching to AT&T dialup.

woooooooooooooo
At this point I can only conclude that you either live in an Amish community, are surrounded by hillbillies screaming "GOLD! GOLD!" in the morning, or live inside a looney tunes episode featuring yosemite sam. Where is your infrastructure!

Im going to have to vouch this, if Bluff, in the middle of nowhere in South-Eastern Utah, has some form of reliable internet, then how could you not have it? That seriously sucks Major.
Maybe he lifes on a farm, or other sort of non-city piece of land, like a personal gun range, which I heard from the Great and Handsome Dan that many US-icans have.
Bought Fable Anniversary Sunday only for MS to do their once of year we care about PCs speech and announce a PC version the next day. MS paid for half of it with Bing gift cards so its only a yellow on the rageometer.
This is a rural area. Ironically there is plenty of houses spread about. According to the census some years ago, 5000 in a mile radius of here. You'd think they'd want to bring broadband here. Nope. They did agree to do it after the county paid them lots of money, but here we are two years later, fiber sitting dark across the road, and no sign of highspeed internet. We even got a notice from AT&T "Highspeed DSL is now available in your area!". Called to get it? Nope.
Anyway, I'm back! Well, sort of. PeoplePC is still acting up. I'm only able to connect because I set my laptop to dial 5 seconds after a disconnect for 99 times in a row, all automatically. Eventually, it will get a connection and stick. That is very not ideal.
The plan is to switch to AT&T dialup tonight.
At this stage, why don't you buy a few miles of cable and run it to a shed where there is broadband, and buy broadband for the shed?
And on AT&T. Wooo. It's dialup, but at least it, you know, WORKS. I did have an interesting experience though. When setting it up, I encountered a customer service rep that was:
A - Not a foreigner
B - Actually knew what she was talking about
C - HELPFUL
Apparently, a monopoly beats a run down cheapo dialup ISP any day.
