Well in this case the 3650 was better. It had 4 cores while the new one only has 2. And although a 3650 wouldn't be a boost in single-threaded apps it would have helped with multi-threaded ones a lot. But it isn't my rig and considering I've bought everything for 180 in total minus shipping and taxes I'd say it was the best I could do without going on ebay and buying old intel quad parts for cheap.

Richland. I know it's the same cpu as trinity with a slight overclock but since the psu is generic I'd rather have the added performance without having to oc myself and risk the psu not being good enough. He can buy a better psu later and overclock it or get me too. 6400k a6 apu.
Should be slightly faster in dolphin or about the same. Your assessment about multithreaded applications is also correct.
