Hey guys.

Okay so i am on a narrow budjet here so bear with me.

I have narrowed it down to 2 cards

The Nvidia GTX295 or the Nvidia GTX470.

Now, the 295 hands down is a faster card but it CANNOT do DX11 (thus not as future proof) however, I am wondering if DX11 would make much of a performance difference in dolphin?

The 470 is a slightly slower card but has the ability to run DX11, and as above i am unsure if this would mean any extra performance in dolphin?

Advice is appreciated.

Craig
You can still use the DX11 back-end with a DX10 card, but DX9 is usually faster.

Thanks for that, If i was to use an intergrated DX11 card with the DX11 backend would i see any performance increase, Right now even with high specs and lots of fiddling i seem to be getting poor frame rates.

Direct3d9 is faster, yes.
Not sure about DX11.

GTX 560 TI. Personal recommendation.
Consumes the least power.

Should have similar performance to a GTX 470, if not superior.

If not that, then the GTX 470 because DirectX 11.
using DX11 on a D3D10 card, you don't get DX11 Antialiasing (In dolphin).

thats about it.....
GTX 470 without question.

Dolphin doesn't utilize SLI so a GTX 470 is a much better choice for dolphin than a GTX 295.
