Hey guys.

Sorry for the first post of mine being a question about computer specs. I am able to run the application, but the issue is that the emulator during gameplay with drop (during wii games) to somewhere around 10 to 15 fps. Now I realize the issue lies solely on the fact that my processor and Graphics card maybe slightly outdated.

Here are my Specs:

CPU: AMD athlon 64 3800+
RAM: 6.00 GB
GC: Nvidia 9400 GT Sparkle(no fan Sad )
MOBO: Elite group A780GM-A

I'm thinking about upping going with this bundle pack for a CPU/video card at newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealD...mbo.172728

Now I have been doing research and here that the 9800 GTx+ specs are a tad bit beter. I'm just really up in the air and only have about no more than 240 to spend. but I would really like this to run at a decent frame rate.

what do you guys think?
That bundle can get you some good FPS, but it would be better if you can find one with a dual-core CPU and higher clock rate, since Dolphin doesn't use more than 2 cores at once.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6819103228 - This CPU would probably perform better for Dolphin, but it isn't in a bundle of any kind.

The GPU you have right now might be okay as long as you don't want a huge window size, but isn't a GPU without a fan just disaster waiting to happen?

Yep the no fan GPU is a bad thing. I only really used this pc for a media center so no fan was not that big of a deal. Smile but the good thing was I found the QA section and saw quad core is a bit to much. I will most def upgrade the GPU soon. Oh and i forgot to mention, I'm running this in windows 7 64 bit.

Sorry for the edit, but I was going through newegg and saw this processor, It is a little cheaper but the only spec that looks like it could be an issue is the l2 cache, but the Hyper Transports is 3600MHz compared to the 2000 on the one you showed.
